Management Traineeship | De Toekomstbouwers

Become a future leader while helping build a more sustainable world

Welcome to De Toekomstbouwers, Ortessa's management traineeship for ambitious graduates who want to make an impact. This is your opportunity to accelerate your career while helping shape the future of waste management, resource recovery, recycling and the circular economy. We're looking for curious and ambitious graduates who want to do more than learn how our organisation work. We want people who are eager to build the future of a growing family of companies and develop into tomorrow's leaders. Ortessa is growing rapidly through both organic growth and acquisitions. As our organisation continues to expand, we're investing in talented professionals who can grow into future leaders, project managers and strategic specialists. This isn't a standard traineeship. It's a personalised development programme where leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability come together.

Your journey as a Toekomstbouwer
You'll begin with a strategic assignment that has an immediate impact on Ortessa. At the same time, you'll become part of a group of around ten Toekomstbouwers. Together you'll take part in an intensive developmentprogramme where you'll learn from experienced leaders and from one another while working on real business challenges.

Your first assignment

How can we help every new employee become productive quickly, understand our organisation and always know where to find the right information?
At Ortessa, we believe informed employees make better decisions. That's why we're creating a modern digital learning and knowledge platform where employees can easily access information about our organisation, waste management, resource recovery, recycling, circularity, infrastructure and our services.

We believe transparency starts from within. Employees should not only understand what we do, but also why we do it. That's why we're bringing information, documentation, processes and learning together in one accessible environment. You'll lead the development of this digital learning journey. You'll research how employees prefer to learn, determine which knowledge every new colleague needs and design engaging digital learning experiences.

Together with HR, Marketing & Communications and ICT, you'll also explore how employees can quickly find the information they need whenever they need it. You'll define the requirements for a central learning and knowledge platform, investigate suitable solutions and lead the selection and implementation of the platform that best supports Ortessa's ambitions. Your goal is to create one central platform where employees can learn, collaborate, share knowledge and instantly access the information they need.

What you'll do

Research how employees prefer to learn and identify learning needs across the organisation.

  • Determine the essential knowledge every new employee needs.
  • Develop digital learning modules about waste management, resource recovery, recycling, circularity, infrastructure and Ortessa's services.
  • Work with experts from across the organisation to turn their knowledge into engaging learning content.
  • Create interactive learning experiences using videos, quizzes, animations, case studies and other digital learning tools.
  • Define the functional and technical requirements for a central learning and knowledge platform together with HR, Marketing & Communications and ICT.
  • Research the solution that best matches our ambitions and our employees' needs.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of the chosen platform.
  • Build one central knowledge environment where employees can easily access information, documents, processes, training and practical resources.
  • Continue improving the digital learning experience for all employees.

This assignment brings together HR, Learning and Development, Internal Communications, Marketing, ICT and Digital Innovation. You'll have the freedom to explore ideas, conduct research and create something that will have a lasting impact on the organisation.

This first assignment is only the beginning. As your traineeship progresses, you'll work on a variety of strategic and operational projects across different departments and companies within Ortessa. There is no fixed programme or predefined end date. Your development determines the pace. As you grow, new opportunities and assignments will follow, preparing you for a future role in management, project leadership or as a specialist.

Why join De Toekomstbouwers?
The world of waste and resources is changing rapidly. Raw materials are becoming scarcer, circularity is becoming increasingly important and organisations are looking for smarter and more sustainable ways of working.
At the same time, Ortessa continues to grow. That's why we're investing today in the people who will make tomorrow's difference. De Toekomstbouwers program gives ambitious graduates the opportunity to develop broadly while preparing for key positions within our organisation. We believe the next generation will help shape the future of our industry.

What we offer

  • A personal mentor who will guide and support you throughout the programme.
  • Training in leadership, entrepreneurship and personal development.
  • Challenging assignments with direct impact on the organisation.

  • Plenty of freedom to take initiative and ownership.
  • A salary between €3,000 and €4,000 per month, depending on your experience.

Who we're looking for
You've recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Your field of study is less important than your curiosity, ambition and entrepreneurial mindset. This first assignment is especially suited to graduates with an interest in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Communications.
